Reteti Elephant Sanctuary- Samburu County Yusuf feeds rescued elephants at the sanctuary

I grew up around goats and cattle. So in the evenings, we had to herd goats before we could lock them. Goats are frustrating, to say the least. They are restless and needs an alert shepherd. But perhaps, i would never have thought that I would herd some elephants in the wild. This sanctuary in Samburu gave us the opportunity. Well, thrilling I should say.

Through research, the calves now take milk rich with supplements that substitute that of their mothers.
